the Washington Post reported.
the Washington Post reported.
professionals are reporting an uptick in patients coming to them out of
fear that Donald Trump will become president, the Washington Post reported.
“Just that Trump has survived and that there’s such a cataclysmic
shift in the Republican Party — an institution that’s part of our way of
life even if you’re not a Republican — is going to disturb a lot of
people,” said psychologist Paul Saks.
Saks, who practices in Greenwich Village in New York City, said that
one of his patients — the grandson of Holocaust survivors — was
disturbed by Trump’s recent reluctance to disavow the support of former
Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.
Another local psychologist, Judith Schweiger Levy, said that she has
also seen an increase in Trump-related cases; one patient, she said,
came to her talking about nothing else but how “crazy and frightening”
she found the current Republican front-runner. A different patient, who
Levy described as a “middle-aged businesswoman,” was upset that her
sister is supporting him.
“She was so upset and worried that she could have a sister — someone
so close to her — who would have zero problem with Trump,” Levy
explained.
Levy herself admitted to feeling anxious just discussing the candidate.
“Part of the reason he makes people so anxious is that he has no anxiety himself,” she said. “It’s frightening.”
Another reason behind the increased stress associated with Trump,
psychologist Alison Howard said, was the sense that the real estate
mogul tramples over social mores and is allowed “to get away with it.”
“We’ve been told our whole lives not to say bad things about people,
to not be bullies, to not ostracize people based on their skin color,”
said Howard, who practices in Washington D.C.
Some psychologists, like New York City-based Mary Libbey, are seeking support within their professional community.
“It helps me to talk about it,” she said. “I’m terrified that he
could win. His impulsivity, his incomplete sentences, his strange,
squinty eyes — to my mind, he’s a loosely held together person.”
The Post also noted that online searches for information on how to move to Canada surged following Trump’s Super Tuesday primary victories, as did Twitter posts with “Trump” attached to phrases like “freaking out.”
“As phobias and fears ago, this is not a pathological response to a
normal situation, but a normal response to a pathological situation,”
said Nancy Lauro, an art teacher who said she has researched emigrating
to Italy or Ireland. “Picking up one’s life feels impossible, but I keep
flashing on those people who fled Germany when the writing was on the
wall and those who didn’t. When do you take action to get out?”

Despite Donald Trump reminding anyone who will listen just how very loved he is, there is one Ohio farmer who is not a fan.
Jerry Slankard of Tuscarawas Count decided to make his position clear
by spelling out “No Trump” with manure on his field visible from
Interstate 77.
His granddaughter, 23-year-old grand daughter Ashley Slankard, shared
a photo of the political statement and it went viral. After mentioning
her grandfather used manure for messages before she added “He’s so
spunky. It made me happy. He’s still got it!”

you can't find your blog or are seeing an error page, we're here to
help. There are several common reasons for a blog disappearing, and
we'll walk you through each one and how to resolve the problem.
Accidental deletion
- Possible reason: Double check that you or a team member didn't delete your blog by accident.
- What you can do: On your Blogger dashboard,
look for and click on the "Deleted blogs" link, and undelete the blog.
If your blog hasn’t been recently deleted by you or a team member, you
won’t see this link. Once you select the undelete option, everything
will return to normal.
- Possible reason: Blogs that are published with a custom domain need
to have correct DNS settings in order to appear online. If you’ve
reached this help article from a Blogger error page, then your issue is
not related to your custom domain. If you’ve reached a generic 404 page,
however, you should double check your custom domain settings. - What you can do: Make sure you've correctly configured your DNS settings.
- Possible reason: Your blog won't appear in search results if you've set a preference to exclude it from search engines.
- What you can do: Go to privacy section under your Settings
tab, and change your search engine settings. If you’ve already allowed
search engines to find your blog, remember that recently changed URLs,
recently undeleted blogs, and other changes in privacy settings can
cause delays in re-indexing.
- Possible reason: It's possible that your blog was found to violate Blogger’s policies or our Terms of Service.
- What you can do: Search your email inbox for notifications from the

Ingredients
For the topping:
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Nonstick cooking spray
For beans and sauce:
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
1 pound fresh green beans, rinsed, trimmed and halved
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
12 ounces mushrooms, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup half-and-half
Directions
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F.
Combine the onions, flour, panko and salt in a large mixing bowl and
toss to combine. Coat a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray and
evenly spread the onions on the pan. Place the pan on the middle rack of
the oven and bake until golden brown, approximately 30 minutes. Toss
the onions 2 to 3 times during cooking. Once done, remove from the oven
and set aside until ready to use. Turn the oven down to 400 degrees F.
While the onions are cooking, prepare the beans. Bring a gallon of
water and 2 tablespoons of salt to a boil in an 8-quart saucepan. Add
the beans and blanch for 5 minutes. Drain in a colander and immediately
plunge the beans into a large bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.
Drain and set aside.
Melt the butter in a 12-inch cast iron skillet set over medium-high
heat. Add the mushrooms, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper and cook, stirring
occasionally, until the mushrooms begin to give up some of their liquid,
approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and nutmeg and continue to
cook for another 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture
and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute. Add the broth and simmer for 1
minute. Decrease the heat to medium-low and add the half-and-half. Cook
until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally, approximately 6 to 8
minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in 1/4 of the onions and all of the
green beans. Top with the remaining onions. Place into the oven and bake
until bubbly, approximately 15 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.

Little Corner of Mine: Chicken with Cabbage
Little Corner of Mine: Chicken with Cabbage
Chicken with Cabbage
Since I started helping my friend in her restaurant, I don't have much
time to cook. Hence, less update compared to before. Also because of
that, my cooking has been much easier and preferably one dish meal. The
veggies that I bought these days, also have longer refrigerator life
such as cabbage, celery, napa cabbage and romaine lettuce. I made this
dish because I was left with a bowl of glass vermicelli from the
previous hot pot/steamboat dinner. Guess who dish out most of the glass
vermicelli to eat? Haha...if you guess my girls, you were right! :)
Ingredients:
1 chicken breast, thinly sliced it and marinate with sea salt, rice wine, sesame oil, white pepper and potato starch, mix well.
1/4 cabbage, washed and julienne
1 carrot, diagonally sliced
1 small bowl of woodear fungus, thinly sliced
1 large bowl of pre-soaked glass vermicelli (tang hoon)
3 cloves of garlic, minced
Oyster sauce to taste
Methods:
1. In a heated wok, add in cooking oil of
your choice, then chicken and stir-fry until no longer pink, add in
garlic, fry until slightly brown, add in cabbage and carrot.
2. Stir-fry until veggies are soften, add
in woodear fungus and mix well. Season to taste with oyster sauce, add
a little water when needed. Lastly add in the glass vermicelli and mix
well.

Chicken Fricasse
3 1/2 to 4 lb. stewing chicken, cut up (I used 2 lbs. chicken breasts)
Flour
3 Tbsp. fat
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 1/2 cups diluted canned condensed cream of chicken soup
1 large onion, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms
Dip
cut up chicken in flour. Heat oil in electric frying pan (or large
skillet) Add fat. Brown chicken, turning as necessary and remove
browned pieces. When all is browned, spoon off fat. Place chicken in
frying pan and sprinkle with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Add
soup slowly, together with remaining ingredients. When liquid is
boiling, turn heat, cover and simmer 3-4 hours or until pieces are
tender. Add more seasoning if necessary.
Martha: This
recipe was in one of my older cookbooks and was created to use with an
electric frying pan. I did it just a little different by using a frying
pan with fitting lid. The recipe called for 1 1/2 cups diluted canned
soup but didn't say how much it was to be diluted. I used the full can
of soup and 1 can of water. My chicken pieces were bite size so they
cooked up quicker than the 3-4 hours and the extra liquid allowed me to
add a boiling bag of brown rice to take up some of the liquid as well as
add to the dish. This is a delicious recipe to make with your electric
frying pan or as I did using the skillet. Either way, you can't go
wrong.
